Being on Mountain Men: Ultimate Marksman – Season 1

I had the amazing opportunity to be in a new History Channel series – Mountain Men: Ultimate Marksman.

Here is the description from their website:

The eight-part series tests some of the world’s top marksmen and markswomen by using centuries-old historical weapons like primitive knives, bows and firearms. Competitors will navigate several distance, precision and obstacle challenges.

It was a fantastic experience and I am very grateful for the opportunity.   I got to shoot with some great folks and shoot some historical weaponry that I may not have access to otherwise.   The crew was great and fun to hang out with, and the two hosts – Colby and Mark – where a lot of fun, very down-to-earth, and very supportive of us all.    I wouldn’t hesitate to do something like this again.

I wasn’t in the trailer that was produced for the series, but I was fortunate enough to show up briefly in the show’s intro:

Paul shoots a Remington 1875

My episode – A Shot in the Dark – will be appearing on November 10, and I am super excited to see how it turns out.

Here are a few “glamor shots” sent to me by the production team:

Paul with 1860 Henry Rifle

More details on the show, episode streaming, etc are here.
