How Many Backpacks Do You Need?

Admittedly, I was caught unawares in a moment of reorganization in the Mud Room/Man Cave:

The Governess:  “1 2 3 4 …. 18.  I count 18 bags and there’s probably more in that pile of shit there. That’s way too many bags.”

The Author:  “How many do I need?”

The Governess:  “Three bags … maybe six tops.   Hiking bag.     Maybe one for a bug-out bag for every person in the family.”

The voice behind me uttered, a slight hint of belligerence . . . 😉
